Producers Lunch Sunshine Coast Hinterland | Maleny

Our next Producers Lunch is going to be fabulous. There is so much awesome produce coming out of this region that Glen has a hard time deciding what to choose. This region includes the Sunshine Coast hinterland region and of course the lush pastures of Maleny famous for it’s rich creamy milk and spectacular views.
We’ve got such a great line up for you.
Trevor of Cedar Street Cheeserie, maker of artisan buffalo cheeses who also plays a good jazz tune on the trumpet (he’s playing at the next Sunday Session). He makes cheese in a traditional way; fresh cheese from pure and unadulterated fresh milk by hand. His choice of milk is buffalo milk from the Mal & Margaret Thompson’s dairy in Witta just 5 minutes down the road from his micro cheeserie in Maleny. His products have picked up Delicious Produce Awards. As a bonus, he’s also going to be playing jazz at the next Sunday Session.
Also coming to speak Les and Marji Nicholls from Sandy Creek Organic Farm and Kim from Hinterland Zucchini flowers, absolutely stunning product and flowering beautifully after all the rain.

Other produce featured on the day from the region:
Green Harvest Seeds ~ we are sprouting some micro herbs for the lunch
Falls farm (veg) ~ Organic veg and beautiful wedding venue for anyone looking for a regional location
Baranbali farm ~ Organically-certified Murray Grey cattle, Wessex Saddleback pigs, Suffolk sheep, rare breed poultry
