This year we are covering all the major food production regions within reach of Brisbane. If you are interested in any of the events please call 3378 2805 to book in advance, or each event will be available to book online closer to the specific date.
All lunches will be a five course degustation, with a drink upon arrival. Additional drinks and tea and coffee can be purchased on the day. Cost per person is $79. Unless stated otherwise the time for lunch is a 11.00am arrival for a 11.30am start.
Our next Producers Lunch takes place at Wild Canary in the lead up to the Scenic Rim’s Eat Local Week (24th June > 2nd July), celebrating the food, farmers and natural beauty of the Scenic Rim through a program of festivals, farm gate events and culinary experiences.
This is a unique chance to hear first-hand from the farmers about their stories, farming philosophies and what makes this region so special.
Speaking on the day;
Kay and Dave from Tommerup Farm. They are authentic sixth generation farmers who supply their Jersey milk to cheese artisans Bronwyn & Michael Lind from White Gold Creamery. Bronwyn, also speaking, loves using Tommerup’s top quality milk.
As an added bonus Troy and Vicki Muller of The Peak Vegie Patch, growers of exceptional quality heirloom tomatoes, will be joining us to outline the production techniques that lead to the amazingly delicious flavour of their tomatoes.
We are also looking forward to hearing from Rod and Kathy of Ayton Farm, home to pastured broilers and free range laying hens using regenerative agriculture principles.
