Our native bees

Our native bees

If you ever see a tiny little white house in our gardens and wonder what might be living inside, it’s not home to a tropical fairy but a small colony of natives bees. You might spot them silently going about their business in the cooler part of the day, gracefully flying around the kitchen garden.

They produce very little honey compared to European alprazolam online, honey bee, the honey has a dark appearance and a much stronger distinct flavour. One colony may only produce about 1 kg of honey per year.

They are stingless and we are quite fond of having them around. Glen Barratt our chef, often takes close up pics of them for ourĀ Instagram feed. Here’s some of the best! Enjoy.
