Natasha Ruschka is an oil painter embracing outdoor painting and the swift “alla prima” method. Her art emanates a vibrant, playful energy. Natasha’s mastery of light and shadow shines in her award-winning pieces.
Her latest exhibition, “A New Season,” has been inspired by her recent move from Brisbane to Canberra. She is always looking for opportunities to paint outdoors and loves to capture nature’s true colours and the play of light in a single moment. Taking seemingly simple scenes and transforming them into a beautiful and interesting vignette. When the weather turns her indoors she finds a different kind of solace in painting still life and floral arrangements in a nostalgic way, paying particular attention to light.
